THE SYMBOLISM OF HOLD FAST TATTOOS:
In the 19th and early 20th century, sailors who crossed the storms on seas and oceans, the expression “Hold Fast” had a notion of life or death.
On deck and in the midst of storms, when their ship was pitching in the waves, the strength to hold on tight to the helm was critical to their lives:
weather the storm and survive or end up on the bottom of the ocean.
“Fast” was also the expression used by sailors to name a tight rope.
As a result, the words HOLD FAST are usually tattooed on the knuckles to remind us that no matter what we face, we must hold on to survive!

Receive free standard shipping within Canada on orders of $300 or higher, excluding taxes.
Shipping withing Canada and US
The shipping rates and terms for orders shipped within Canada and to the USA are as calculated by Canada Post and are determined, based on your order at checkout.
Orders must be received by 12pm EST Monday-Friday to be processed the same day. Orders placed after the shipping cut off time, will ship out the following business day. Delivery is only available during business hours, Monday-Friday, excluding statutory holidays. Please note that shipping windows are approximated and we are unable to guarantee order delivery dates. Please expect extra time for deliveries to remote markets, as well as during peak holiday times and sale periods.
Old School Cool is not responsible for packages that have been lost or stolen for which there has been no tracking on the order.
